Disneyland Resort tickets and parking prices are going up again, as much as 25%

Only months before the opening of its $1-billion Star Wars expansion, the Disneyland Resort announced price increases of up to 25% for daily tickets, annual passes and parking.

The increases, which took effect Sunday, come less than a year after the resort adopted price hikes of up to 18%. Under the latest increases, the cheapest daily ticket will be more than $100. Daily parking prices are rising to $25 from $20 — a 25% increase.

Disneyland’s annual ritual of charging more is partly aimed at crowd control, although price hikes in the last few years have not diminished the throngs at Disneyland and its neighboring California Adventure Park.

Disneyland expects visitor demand to hit new heights when it opens its newest area, dubbed Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge, this summer. The 14-acre expansion will feature two attractions, including a ride that lets visitors pilot the Millennium Falcon, the spaceship flown by Han Solo in the “Star Wars” movies.

Our adult children loved all day ski trips.

We bought the all day ski tickets from a grocery store and had breakfast here. A prepared lunch on the slopes and
piazza on the way home.

They were not so called fun park kids.

After high school, they did one day ski trips with friends and ocean trips in the spring, summer and fall.

They did one day fishing trips on the local rivers and lakes.

Now, a day trip to Bodega Bay for beach walking, sea food and sometimes fishing or crabbing is their thing, not so called fun parks.

Skiing is fun, but it has been a few years since I went. Good to hear they enjoyed it too.

I’m not saying that Disney World needs an update, but they just renamed “Tomorrowland” to “Yesterdayland”.

I related your story about the ‘drinking around the world’ at EPCOT to my wife. Even though we’ll likely never be able to afford to do so, she said it might be fun to see how many countries she could drink through. She has a particular resistance to the effects of alcohol. (I have seen it personally and it’s nothing short of amazing.) I’d have to be her ‘designated walker’ to make sure she got back to our hotel.

I have an old friend who just got back from Disneyworld with her eldest son. She wanted to take him for one more ‘mom-son’ trip before he gets married later this year. She calls any Disney park her ‘happy place’. Being that she’s ‘Disney-addicted’, I doubt the price increase will make her think twice about future trips.

‘Disneyland...the world’s only man-trap set by a mouse.’

Wait until casino gambling comes to florida. Disney has lobbied against it for years. We had a referendum on the ballot and it will be decided by the voters not the lobbyist and politicians.
All the construction going up is set up for casinos.

They can do this because the parks are overcrowded. Every day I see the numbers and they are astonishing. Supply and demand is working. The economy is booming. This is good news. People can afford vacations again. This is awesome!!!!!

we have casinos in soCal, but we also have about 16 million people. Disney nest visitors her from all over the world. The original park has a tradition that I don’t feel in orlando. Star Wars land will open this year in Anaheim, same ticket as the rest of the park.. people with kids can’t go to casinos.

Their plan here is to have them eat and sleep on the beaches and bring them to the mainland to gamble. Kid camps set up for babysitting do mom and dad can go blow their kids tuition at the tables. Construction is booming right now and contractors are robbing employees from each other. Real estate prices are out of reach and going higher.
