You can find this little fun word game, to combat early dementia and senility in us baby boomers, in several daily publications, unfortunately they are copyrighted so we can't use them here. So, we're just going to make up our own.
The way it works is a letter stands for another letter.
For example:
AXYDLBAAXR is LONGFELLOW (does not apply to today's cryptogram)
Beware, the game is very addictive. If this is your first time, don't be intimidated.
If you can solve this under 8 minutes you're good. Under 5 minutes is very good. Under 3 excellent. Under 2 minutes, exceptional.

If you need a little help you can copy the cryptogram and paste it here:
http://www.hjkeen.net/htoys/cryptogm.htm
Its easier to work on it without having to use your pencil.
Let me know if you want on or off our Cryptogram Ping List.

Done. I don’t bother timing it because I’m transcribing with a pen.

Figured out the third word first. Then took a stab at the 13-letter word, and from there it was easy. Figured out the first name wasnt a normal first name.

Working older puzzles.
This one took me about eight hours. The breakthrough was figuring out the word with the adjacent double letters.
Now onto the current day's puzzle.
