One of my absolute favorites. Henry's sister Cornelia, Mistress Van Kleeck, four years his younger, most likely told Henry this story, which he then turned into a humorous poem about her tenant's excuse for not paying her the pig he owed her. Illustrated with vintage postcards.
Going the opposite way, a very short religious poem that's also a favorite of mine, "Without distinction..."
TOPICS: Arts/Photography; History; Music/Entertainment; Poetry
KEYWORDS: henrylivingston; hogs; musicvideos; pigs
Much of Henry's account books show that debts were more often paid in trade than in coin.

Different Cornelia Van Kleeck.
This one was born, 29 Sep 1750, Cornelia Livingston, the daughter of
Dr. Henry Livingston, Sr. (27 Aug 1714-10 Feb 1799)
Susanna Storm Conklin, (09 Jul 1724-22 May 1793)
She married Myndert Van Kleeck on 15 Feb 1769, who is somewhat confusing as he’s sometimes referred to as Lawrence Van Kleeck (02 Feb 1745-14 Dec 1799), with her brother, Rev John Henry Livingston, officiating.
They’re shown as only having a single child, Henry (08 Mar 1793-05 Apr 1795), who died aged 2.
She died 14 Feb 1810 at the NYC home of the same brother, Rev John Henry Livington.
********
But what you’re seeing in YOUR Cornelia Van Kleeck is the Dutch propensity for education of all.

Barter and trade is freedom in action, which is why leftists seek to make it forbidden, thus inevitably becoming black market.

Thanks. Too bad I cannot get course credit. Better than the class I abortively took.

Someone wrote me about one of my art videos and I rewatched it yesterday. It really could be the basis of a class.

Makes all the difference to add dates on the start of the image files. Lets you sort alphabetically and get chronology. SO much wish I could have had this capability back when I was studying the subject.
