Wow, Jocko. That was powerful. And true. It reminded me of the book of Esther, specifically Chapter 4. But that whole book is almost a mirror image of what we are facing at the moment. It's got it all; oppression by the powerful, bribery, scheming, a plot to commit genocide against a whole race of people... would make good reading for now and encouragement to pray and fast. Your words echoed the words of Mordecai in this passage.

""12 Esther’s words were reported to Mordecai. 13 Then he sent back an answer. He said, “You live in the king’s palace. But don’t think that just because you are there you will be the only Jew who will escape. 14 What if you don’t say anything at this time? Then help for the Jews will come from another place. But you and your family will die. Who knows? It’s possible that you became queen for a time just like this.” 15 Then Esther sent a reply to Mordecai. She said, 16 “Go. Gather together all the Jews who are in Susa. And fast for my benefit. Don’t eat or drink anything for three days. Don’t do it night or day. I and my attendants will fast just as you do. Esther was afraid that if she went to the king and spoke on behalf of the people and asked him to stop the wicked plot of Haman, she would be put to death. It's the same thing we all face - fear of man - what will they do to me, what will they say about me? In Tucker's case, it's a job, will he lose his slot at Fox? He knows what they can do - manufacture some scandal - threaten his children, his family. We need to pray for him.
