The best take away for my tastes was the Ed Meese leak to the AP reporter, saying Meese had a breakfast meeting with John Huber, who confirmed to Meese that he is still investigating allegations of corruption, particularly in the FBI.
This may explain the nervousness among Democrats lobbed against Whittaker? No one is complaining against Huber, since his work is happening apparently in an isolated secret tunnel, with absolutely No leaks on their product.
Seems hapless Whittaker isn’t hapless at all and is taking all the fire for Huber. Huber has to follow the chain of characters and the chronology of all their associated events, just like any other basic investigation. Whittaker knows what is going on and Dem don’t like it.
Mueller is irretrievably linked to money, power, nefarious characters and events. Has he made a deal and been flipped to save himself? Is he simply dragging out his final report in order to advantage Huber’s investigation?
Mueller knows all the wrong people and can expose them all, if enticed to do so, which in fact could take a hell of a lot of time, then including the piggyback of the Huber investigation, I think. Right up to 2020, which including Huber’s investigation, has been my contention all along. Elections matter. RE-ELECTION Year really matters.
Outcomes and Calendar timing seal it for Trump.
Mueller in particular and FBI in general have been “fixers”.
They go in and get someone to plead to a lesser crime, so that the crimes aren’t investigated all the way up the food chain, and details that might be revealed in a trial are not submitted and thus kept from public view.
So the guilty basically get a slap, and a white wash. And the higher ups are not exposed.
