As I mentioned in an earlier post today, I emailed President Trump to let him know that I expected him to stand steadfast in his commitment to the wall on the southern border. I described to him the low quality of people coming over that border, which I experienced from my position of educator in the NYC public school system. And I mean LOW. I reiterated my desire for the wall, in conclusion.
I guess his aides are working overtime to read all emails and letters addressed to him, as I received a boilerplate reply only a couple hours later:
"Instead of setting politics aside and putting the safety of our country first, Democrats in Congress have continued to obstruct. In doing so, they have refused to come together with Republicans to pass commonsense legislation that provides adequate funding to secure America's borders and prevent a partial government shut down.
As I have said throughout this process, I remain committed to finding an agreemnet that reopens our Government and ensures that our Nation's borders are safe and secure.
I urge Congress to rejoin me in Washington to immediatly pass appropriations legislation that properly addresses the critical issues affecting our Nation's security and prosperity.
Thank you for your email."
Covfefe will do that to prople, make them type too fast.
Prople...that’s a new one.
Yup. Someone screwed up.
Welcome to AI.
Good evening.
You know that politicians get hundreds or thousands of communications a day. E-mails, letters, etc. They “can” the responses to us regular folks because of the volumn.
From Rubio to Romney and from Schumer to Schiff, they all do it.
Spelling and grammar not the best...
5.56mm
It’s a canned auto reply. A new one is probably written once a week by a young intern with great computer skills but poor grammar skills. These are probably approved verbally not visually.
Yep... You just beat me to it. :)
Yep. My mom has letters on her wall from the 60’s-70’s-80’s signed by presidents and politicians. Those days are long gone. The only recent one was a state resolution commending her work in politics which is framed in her hallway.
I am pretty sure the President doesn’t see even 0.01% of the correspondence he gets, much less these types of email’s. Auto response program surely in use. What he probably does get is total numbers of supporting emails by category.
5 decades of writing, emailing, or calling really has only provided me with the satisfaction of having offered my “voice” to any particular issue.
Unless one is a major donor I doubt most politicians could care less what the electorate corresponds.
Of course it didn’t mention the Wall, and it shouldn’t.
Have you even been around the block once?
“I am personally bothered by ...”
Talking about personally bothered, Rand Paul was on the Hannit radio show today. Hannity asked him to explain why Hillary and others shouldn’t be held accountable for their alleged (perhaps proven) crimes. Paul never really answered and Hannity didn’t bear down on him for a real explanation. Makes me think that neither of them are shooting straight with us.
So president trump should have sent back a personal email? Huh? He gets like a zillion per day probably. No big deal here. Its ok.

Don't take it personal.
I’m old school, I sent him a letter.
Cookie recipe. Hahaha. Hush! Hahaha.
It does make me shake my head sometimes when folks seem to want it all and want it NOW! Oh, lets completely ignore the fact that President Trump has kept more of his promises than any other President, been more personally involved, given up even his paycheck, but if it is something that no one else on this entire planet - quite literally - will even pretend to try and do, the wall, well that should have been built yesterday. And the fact the man hasn’t built it by now - oh lets tear our hair out! These pants wetters are tiresome.
Melania Trump's Star Cookies/ makes 4 dozen
Ingredients 2 cups flour 1/2 teaspoon baking soda 6 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened 1 cup confectioners' sugar 2 eggs yolks 1 egg white 2 tablespoons sour cream

Heat oven to 350 degrees F.
Roll out one disk on liberally floured wax paper with a floured rolling pin to 1/8-inch thickness. Using a 2 1/2-inch star cutter, cut out star shapes and place on a wax paper-lined baking sheet. Repeat with second disk. Gather up scraps, form into a disk and refrigerate. Bake for 10 minutes per batch, until lightly golden. Slide cookies onto a cooling rack and cool.
Reroll chilled scraps, cut out additional stars and bake.
It’s a New Yorker. Whining is a thing there.
My big hope here is that his executive orders come with an expiration date, and a strong message to Congress that "this is going to keep us going until you people pass a bill that can become a law. It's how the American form of government is supposed to work."
I hope POTUS selects a junk-yard-dog-mean-as-hell Attorney General and turns him and the DOJ loose on EVERY Democrat lawbreaker!
There is extensive evidence that the entire Ophonybama administration, INCLUDING Ophonybama, broke multiple federal laws between 2008 and 2016!
They should be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law and made to pay for their lawlessness!
You must not have read the article (on here or Lucianne.com) from a congressional staffer about how letters, email are handled.
They are opened by an unpaid intern who gives them a cursory scan to see what they're about (immigration, government spending etc) then they're put in a like pile for a form reply to be sent.
Unless you personally know someone higher up the food chain they are never actually read and it's all a waste of time.
What surprised me is that a tally of how many for or against a given issue is not even kept. This applies to phone calls too. They really don't care.
