Daryl Dragon, the hat-wearing musician familiar to 1970s music fans as half of the bestselling duo the Captain & Tennille, died Tuesday in Prescott, Arizona at age 76.
Dragons ex-wife, Toni Tennille, was with him as he took his last breath, said Harlon Boll, a spokesperson for the singer. In a statement, Tennille said, He was a brilliant musician with many friends who loved him greatly. I was at my most creative in my life when I was with him.
Dragon died of renal failure, according to Boll.

It is a joy to be a Godly wife.
Not perfect and still a sinner saved by Grace.
My favorite
22Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as unto the Lord.
23For the husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ is the head of the church: and he is the saviour of the body.
LOL Let’s go!!!
LOL knew that would come up - hey gas lines were fun!
Well, maybe not......
I like the verse about husbands loving their wives as Christ loves the church. Men seem to forget that one. (How is it even possible for a man to live as Christ/God loves?)
I honestly don’t know about Steve Martin. It just struck me that he is so wacky and outgoing and giving in his performances but reclusive in his private life.
They got divorced in their seventies, doubt it was her wanting independence.
RIP. Had such a crush on Toni back in the day.
Wondered if it was something like that. Shame that divorce has to solve financial crises.
Okay. I am in.
Probably him saying, “Enough already.”
Let God help you fully take what 1 Peter 3:1-6 says to heart and finish paying that "great price in the sight of God". It's really between you and God and your joy will be even more unspeakable and full of glory.
It is all by grace as you fall at Jesus' feet and like Ruth, at your husband's feet.
God bless you.
She did a wonderful album (For Sentimental Reasons) with the Nelson Riddle Orchestra that you'd likely enjoy.
I about wore out my cd copy and had to download a flac replacement .. never gets old.
Tragically, I've heard she has Parkinson's.
Thinking back to all the great music when I was a kid makes the tinnitus from too many concerts too close to big stacks of Marshalls worth it, ya know ? :-)
Jerry Seinfelds Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee
If you are a comedian you have a good chance of dying after being on the show or just being invited.
Jerry Lewis
Don Rickles
Garry Shandling
Super Dave Osbourne
Wiki: Joan Rivers had been asked by Seinfeld to be the fifth season’s first guest, however she postponed the appearance due to a scheduled medical procedure.[11] Rivers died as a result of that procedure.
Soon to...... Carl Reiner and Mel Brooks
Lordy that girl can belt it out !
(along with having the second dreamiest set of BIG brown eyes I've ever seen)
I do hope the future ain’t bright for obama!
Hmmmm. Well, he does like to tell jokes (to his followers) and he was on the show.
Dunno.
I enjoyed “Seinfeld” (the TV show) but he’s obviously a typical NYC liberal. (guess he was born in Brooklyn).
Bipolar?
Just Kidding about that. I didn’t know he was reclusive, that is interesting.
Some of the shlockiest, banal, pap music to ever infect the airwaves. He may have been a good person (or not) but the dreck they cranked out should have been declared a crime against humanity.
You’re overreaction and unprovoked attack kinda proves my point there, CottonBall.
