The Cincinnati Bengals are looking for a new head coach for the first time in 16 years. At one of his final news conferences, now-former head coach Marvin Lewis endorsed just one man as his replacement: former Cleveland Browns head coach Hue Jackson, who joined the Bengals staff after the Browns fired him in October. Jackson racked up a 3-36-1 record over three seasons, but Lewis had nothing but positive things to say about his old friend Hue.
On the heels of Lewis glowing endorsement comes this news from NFL.coms Ian Rapoport: Hue Jackson may be interviewed by the Bengals as soon as Wednesday.

Duh! They pretty much have to under the Rooney rule.
This is HueJ.
Brown’s inoculation fluid should something else go wrong up there in Ohio besides losing every damn game. He can always say to the league “I AM your diversity program” - don’t eff with me or I’ll embarrass the crap out of ALL of you. None of us would care, but the NFL has sure proven that its relationship with the black community is the only public affairs matter it cares about.
Interviewing hue, it’s consider important these days.
Hue Jackson
Next in line: Rich Kotite!
The question...
Will there be a hue and cry about this process???
Make Kapernic it whatever his name is the HC.
Jackson racked up a 3-36-1 record over three seasons
~~~
The the Browns get 7 wins immediately after that.
I’m sure that delusional Marvin Lewis will say that it was all due to Hugh and that 40 games wasn’t quite patient enough... in the same way that someone like Anderson Cooper or Rachael Maddow would say that the Trump economic resurgence was due to Obama, and 8 years of economic malaise was because we just weren’t patient enough for it to hit.
Lewis and Jackson are the same hue.
Mike Brown is an idiot. After keeping Marvin Lewis ten years too long hell probably screw up his replacement too.
careful no one thinks your implying shade!
I got you on the sp tho, thanks for the correction
Might as well he’s in house. And the defense did improve when they brought him in. And the Bengals have never been into big change. Part of why they stink.
At this point the Rooney Rule actually insults black coaches.
The late Dennis Green told teams to quit calling him for interviews because he was sick of being paraded around for jobs he was never going to get just so the NFL could show racial sensitivity.
Jim Caldwell appears to be the new Dennis Green.
From 1991 until 1995, Bill Belichick was the head coach of the Cleveland Browns. During his tenure in Cleveland, he compiled a 3644 record, leading the team to the playoffs in 1994, his only winning year with the team.
There would be plenty of excuses for him, for sure.
You have got to be kidding me. Is their a code in the NFL that rewards failures?
You post a lot about college football. How about Ernest Collins Jr., Head Coach at my Alma Mater, University of Northern Colorado?
