Thank you for listing a few of things I hate about Windows-10. Rest assured, there are a lot more. From what I am seeing, Microsoft wants you, the user, to have less control and that control is transferred to Microsoft.

Again, Operating Systems (OS) like Windows are just the inconvenient but necessary link between my own software and the computer hardware. OS does not make money for us, it is our own software (purchased or self-developed) is what makes money for us.

Well, Steve Case is the guy in charge when Quantum made the switch to AOL. So you'd want to talk to him and his team of engineers.
