Except for cottonwoods...useless as a living tree and useless as a dead tree.In plenty of places between I-35 and the rockies, cottonwoods are often the only tree you get that doesn't look like a glorified shrub. I love a stately old cottonwood- as long as it is on a neighbor's property, far enough away that it won't drop a limb on anything of mine.
Now Norway maples...

Well, I mean fallen trees and big fir branches, maybe some starting to rot just a tiny bit. Mostly fir, oak and madrone. A lot of the oaks got overpowered by the fir and died or will soon.
