I’ve been wondering what so many flags at half staff were for. Never occurred to me that it was STILL for Bush. Thanks for that information.
GHW Bush was a terrible president; I didn’t hate him, but I hated his performance in office. And his wife had views antithetical to most of us on the conservative side, together they despised the Reagans who brought them to the table bc George could win next to nothing on his own. So no I don’t tear up over someone bawling out a song at their memorial. Sorry but I’ve had it with the proud aisle crossers who grovel for our support then stab their constituency in the back when they take office.
When I think about Dukakis (I’m in MA), my back chills. Nothing Bush did came close to what Dukakis would have done. And Clinton still makes me choke. There’s only the wildest connection that having those Democrats running our government made things so disastrous that Trump felt it necessary to come forward and try to save our country. I voted for Bush and would vote for him again in a heartbeat. Anything to keep Democrats out of office.

Mairdie has been producing high quality videos with a blend of images and music on a you tube channel. That much you have correct. And if many people want to view more of her work on that channel, it is understandable. And I encourage it.
You seem to be implying that she is somehow earning money from this effort. I have it on good authority that she receives no remuneration except encouragement from like minded people who enjoy what she does.
You do not have to like it. She has acknowledged that everyone needs to have and hold their own opinion.
It took me a long time to let go of the high regard I had for 41. I had even met him at a campaign rally once. He was quite impressive and dynamic in person. I share many opinions of those held by some responders to this thread. I feel great disappointment and even disdain as to so many of his choices.
Mairdie seems to hold a different point of view than I do about the man, but she’s honest and seeks to find good in all she encounters. She IS entitled to hold that view and opinion, and to still be respected as the patriot she is. There is no need to be rude to a person who is only seeking to share an honest, fine, and beautiful work from her heart.
Mairdie, the music and images you chose are lovely. Thank you for braving the storm to share them with those of differing opinion. And of course, for those who do not differ.

As Tex says, I am fervid to NOT make any money from videos, nor to allow anyone other than the copyright holders to do so. I’ve kept my videos from research libraries when they wouldn’t agree to not gain contributions by selling my videos. All ads on my channel go to the copyright holders with my complete support and thanks for their permission to use their work.
I’m here for Trump. But I also love having people enjoy the videos that are my passion. In this environment I’ve wandered into art and political videos because they’re appropriate to this audience. If I spent time elsewhere, I’d probably work in something else, as I did in fandom videos and still occasionally do.
Creating is as basic a need in me, as hatred is in some of these posters. I think I’m probably the happier one.
