George H W and Barbara Bush Memorial - Auld Lang Syne
YouTube ^

Posted on 12/31/2018 3:49:11 PM PST by mairdie

"Auld Lang Syne" by the Royal Scots Dragoon Guards and by the Marine Band. A Memorial to "41" and his wife. I loved his presidency and I miss them both. Everyone needs grandparents.

It would have been a different world if he had beaten Clinton. Thank goodness Trump is a fighter.

Bush wanted to do what Merkel is currently proposing and that’s to get rid of national sovereignty.

Bush was far from an American patriot. He served in WWII with honorable distinction, but that was the last of his patriotic acts.

People often confuse the willingness of a warrior to acquire skills for his own ego with patriotism. Highest bidder gets loyalty.

George Bush has been dead for a month now. Isn’t it about time to give the hagiography of a mediocre (that’s being generous) politician a rest? Come to think of it, you’re not alone - to listen to the news sometimes, you’d think that he died unexpectedly yesterday. I don’t remember there ever being such a prolonged fuss over any other recently-deceased President in my lifetime, including far better Presidents like Reagan.

“I’ve never understood hatred”

God understands, and condones, hatred.

Amos 5:15: “Hate evil, love good...”

Romans 12:9: “...Abhor what is evil; cling to what is good.”

That sounds right. For Bush the WWII bomber pilot, my hat goes off. To Bush the hack Rockefeller Republican politician, it stays on.

America did not survive the 28 years of bushes, clintons and O'muslims.

I didn’t watch any of the ceremony. But I grieved for the hopes I had during his presidency. My ideal president - next to Trump, who is my #1 - would probably be Eisenhower. But then I’m partial to grandfathers. I was too influenced by newspaper coverage during Reagan’s presidency, even though a fervid Republican, to adequately appreciate him. Since then, I’ve studied him and come to see just how great he was. I’ve got sets of his speeches and am deeply impressed with his skills and with his philosophy.

Why have tears for a traitor ?

He died having known his plot to destroy our Republic had failed. His was a life of failure and treason

That I disagree with. Most of what I’ve seen anti-bush on this site has been conspiracy theory, which I don’t go along with. I see a life of highs and lows. Like every other American. Somehow who believed in his version of service. Like every other American. What I remembered going thru the images was how much he loved his family, and I really enjoyed that.

I urge you to look at the facts behind Bush’s conduct in the assassination of JFK and attempted hit on Gipper. Look at his whereabouts in each day and his links to the people who pulled the triggers.

Then look at his declaration of a NWO and his agreement to throw the 92 election for both his sons being elected in return.

He also voted for Hellary, who WOULD have imposed FEMA camps on the country

I totally agree. That’s where I find myself. GHWB was a gallant pilot who served his country with distinction, for that, I am grateful. But roll the camera forward a couple decades and we find a character who may have been an honorable family man, but his so called contributions to our civic life are, on the whole, less than stellar in my opinion.

After all, didn’t the Rockerfeller wing team him up with Reagan to put a damper on what Ronaldus Magnus could achieve? Didn’t he, through compromise with the left, rollback some of his predecessors successes?

Raising those questions or coming to their ultimate conclusions is not hatred.

Here’s the problem. Before the age of Trump, GHWB, GWB, and Jeb! pretended to a greater or lesser extent that they were on our team - that they were more with us than against. But in the age of Trump, the masks are off. They couldn’t and can’t hold back. They sat silently on their hands smiling respectfully while Obama dismantled the republic and NOW they get off their asses to critizice our president?!

Bottom line, Bush the elder risked his life in a war that was necessary for this nation. He came back to his Barbara and, from that standpoint, their lives should be celebrated. But the Bushes’s activities that led to sacrificing the lives of boys who didn’t come back to their Barbara’s while chasing globalist agendas leave me with a bitter taste.

Conspiracy theory, huh?
You’re eyes will be opened, soon enough.

Disagree on conspiracy theories. But each to their own. Think he had his head wedged to vote for ANYONE but Trump.
