Patrick Mahomes made history Sunday when he became the second NFL player to ever throw for 50 touchdowns and 5,000 passing yards in a single season.
The only other player to have 50 touchdowns and more than 5,000 passing yards in a year is Peyton Manning, who did so at age 37 in 2013.

I have a rule when reading posts like yours. The more capitalized letters, the less I pay attention.
In the fwiw department, Marino had over 5000 yds and 48 TDS in 1984.
5.56mm
Hes a rookie.
Yeah I’ll be more impressed if he’s still doing well next year after the teams have studied his style.
Back in the 70’s I was actually a fan of pro-Bowling. In the 2000’s I was a member at Royal Oaks golf club in Vancouver, WA and one of my golf foursome mates was a retired pro-bowler, who got rich after inventing the finger inserts in bowling balls.
Roller Derby? may be a few shows in 1960’s when I was a new arrival in this country. I realize baseball is a national sport in US, but it is too slow moving for me. While living in Chicago, all 6 years during the Bulls winning championships, never missed a single televised game. Chicago Bears? Yeah still remember when they won super-bowl in a dominant fashion in the 1980”s. Then we moved to Seattle area, and never missed any of the Seahawks games.
Haha very true! I am rooting for the Seahawks & Bears.
Good observation...I was quite impressed with his ability to fling the ball sideways across his body. Russell Wilson does that well as well, and come to think of it he also has some baseball background.
I know exactly what you mean because during his 2nd year and later on, opponents kept a closer eye on Russell Wilson of the Seahawks, but in his 6th year now, he is still dangerous.
Yeah really, why these people click on NFL related threads when they have so much vitriol in their hearts.
For me, I still enjoy watching the fast moving and contact sport of football, which is uniquely American, and ignore the idiots who display their did-respect for the flag. Thank heavens it is all done before the game begins. And it is less than 10% of the players.

He was good but not dominate like you'd think a future NFL player would be. He grew, worked really hard and wrestled. Undefeated state champ, credits wrestling with giving better balance, footwork, and knowledge of how to use leverage.
I knew his greatness his first year Texas Tech....it was evident even then
To sucks and supporting them while they piss on your flag shows just what kind of person you are.
The excerpt doesn’t say who he plays for and I haven’t watched NFL for a couple of years now ... so no clue who he is or who he plays for. But good for him!!
The phrase “making history” is overused. Peyton Manning made history, Mahomes just repeated it. Still a heck of a feat for a young QB.
Kaepernick part deux
My wife thinks he looks about 14 years old. I say 15.
He's cool.
LOL. But can you throw a football sidearm 60 yards and land it on a dime while falling backwards, farting?
Plays for KS City Chiefs!
NFL needs to change the rules to three downs forcing teams to punt on 3rd down.
Kaepernick threw for 5000 yards or 50 touchdowns? I saw him in a couple of games against Seahawks (my home team at the time) and he was not all that good from what I recall. His passing was not anywhere near accurate.
