FWIW, My son just got rid of his Nissan Leaf and replaced it with a Chevrolet Bolt. I’ve driven both cars and the Bolt is clearly superior. Plus it will go 300 miles on a single charge, whereas the Leaf was lucky to go half that far. With a solar system on his home, he pays NOTHING to get to and from his job. I’m not a big fan of electric cars, but they do have their place in our transportation mix.

But I'll be the first to admit non-ICE cars have come a long way. But a 2011 Leaf? No way.

No on says they dont. Its a relatively narrow niche. Hybrids make far more sense for almost everyone though, best of both if you want a hybrid and dont haul heavy loads.
