Couldn’t do those lines or that scene today.

I’ve used “I hate Illinois Nazis” in almost every imaginable context.

Gary Cole should’ve gotten a Best Supporting Actor Oscar nomination for “Office Space.” Stephen Root, too.

Some of these should be classified as satires, not as straight-up comedies. Strangelove, The Graduate, et al, are not comedies.

Mr. Mercat and I are going to watch these in the order they are listed, skipping a few like any Woody Allen movies. We watched some like it hot last night. It was well done, entertaining but probably a lot funnier in the 60s.

The Inlaws with Alan Arkin,

I’ll
check it out.

Watching,
“Oh Brother, where art Thou?”

Comedy?
Not Sure.
I love it!

I’m happy you liked it.
My favorite line from the movie ...

“Well, I must be going.”
“Oh, sir, would you?”

LOLOL

A great comedy team was Bob Eliot and Ray Goulding

One memorable routine ... the slow talking guy.

Then there was Tex Blaisdell, a drawling cowboy singer who also did rope tricks on the radio.

Oh sir, would you? LOL Uncle was a test of patience and polite society. The doctor office scene was awesome, but then I am partial to cats.

Stephen Root has been a favorite through the years. ALWAYS working; vastly under-rated!

I read that because of his character in OS, the stapler company had to start making that red stapler he popularized (which had been discontinued some years earlier).

I’d believe it. I know how possessive *I* was about *my* stapler during my days as an Office Drone, LOL!

I laugh just thinking of lines in What About Bob.
