I’d say the writer needs a lesson in vocabulary. He apparently didn’t DENY the invitation - he must have DECLINED it.
Spacey has always struck me as a homosexual creep. I tried to appreciate his acting skills, but I could never see him as anything but a creep. Glad to know my instincts were correct.

You decline an invitation. You deny a request. The writer was correct.
The kid was probably thrilled by Spacey's attention. The kid lied his little a** off. Can you say MONEY?
To me, his best role was in “Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil”, where he portrayed a homosexual creep. Makes perfect sense.

If I read it correctly, it sounds like a case of underage drinking with a dose of aggressive fag. The place should lose their liquor license . How did they serve alcohol to this 18 year old?

It is legal to drink alcohol in NY at 18. Don’t know where this happened.
He’s definitely a good actor, but the first time I saw him in a movie, which was Seven, I knew straight off he was queer after the scene near the end when he was in the back seat of the cop car.
His inflection gave him away.
