Today's Cryptogram: Hint X=S
IZGHS GSHCTLHN GX HCN XC WDEF L XFLWZ LX IZGHS DHQGAAGHS NC AZLTH. IZHYLWGH OTLHRAGH
Our last puzzle:
THE BEST WAY TO PREDICT THE FUTURE IS TO CREATE IT. ABRAHAM LINCOLN
You can find this little fun word game, to combat early dementia and senility in us baby boomers, in several daily publications, unfortunately they are copyrighted so we can't use them here. So, we're just going to make up our own.
The way it works is a letter stands for another letter. For example:
AXYDLBAAXR is LONGFELLOW (does not apply to today's cryptogram)
Beware, the game is very addictive. If this is your first time, don't be intimidated.
If you can solve this under 8 minutes you're good. Under 5 minutes is very good. Under 3 excellent. Under 2 minutes, exceptional.
Let me know if you want on or off our “almost” daily puzzle. Today’s quote is by another famous American. Inventor, scientist, politician, ambassador. Should be easy for you cryptogram sharks out there.
Benjamin Franklin
I’m enjoying these, but have to copy them down and not look at the thread so as not to see the answer.
Thanks for posting. My noggin needs the exercise.
Attribution to yesterday’s quote to Lincoln seemed suspiciously on the nose — as so many quote attributions to Twain are. Sure enough:

corollary: the best way to discover the past is to invent it — nikos1121
just kidding :) - I was disappointed too. Please cite sources for quote, e.g. Lincoln’s inaugural.
That sure dissects the quotation, does it not?
Copy the cryptogram and paste it here:

Its easier to work on it without having to use your pencil.
There is always one asshole who ruins it for everyone else.
Youre the one.
Thanks
Youre the one.
Sorry to spoil your fun. Nothing above said I was supposed to keep it a secret. Will private message niko with the answer next time.
Thanks for the warm welcome.....Happy New Year to you too.
This was my first time and apparently I committed some cardinal sin by solving your puzzle and posting the answer. Thanks.
The key was figuring out the fourth word (three letters). It is made up of the letters used in the second and fourth two-letter words, so figuring it out figures those out. That then opens up much of the other words.
