When you leave facebook, prepare for a very depressing reality...
... No one will ever talk to you again.
People don’t call, they don’t pick up when you call and they don’t ever think about you again. I had talked to friends - even local ones - for years on Facebook everyday. We shared fun ideas, had chuckles and even helped each other out in real life. We had coffee, lunch and got together frequently.
But people use Facebook not as an idea sharing platform, it’s a communications device and the only one they consider.
I left 120 FB friends 3 years ago and I don’t hear from a single one. Even really, really good friends (In real life as well)
I’m not on Facebook and I’ll be your friend. I would have Zuckerberg caned...repeatedly (not joking).
I’ve had the same experience.
120?? Wow! I can count on one hand, the good friends I have, and most of them are family. I can't fathom having that many people to keep in touch with. I'd never get anything else done.
FakeBook is a cult like group. Its like leaving Scientology. You are shunned. You started thinking for yourself. You are different. Now you know how easy it will be when the time of trouble comes.
