At Harvard Law, he got to be the editor of the Law Review by being black, er, half-black, without any academic scrivenings whatsoever.

He was not a law school editor he was President of the law review, an affirmative action position.

Harvard’s law review acceptance process includes 18 positions for those who write a maximum 150 word statement of how entitled they should be because of their unique background including ethnicity, sexual orientation, etc.... What a friggin’ joke! How much did you want to bet that Barry wrote a compelling ditty about being a poor, gay Kenyan to win their hearts.

My Washington DC law school, at about the same time, had nothing of the sort. In fact, I was reviled on campus for starting a chapter of the Christian Legal Society and was grudgingly only made a member of the law review because of their grade rules. The student with the top grades after the first year was given a mandatory law review position at the start of year two. Let’s just say that the editorial board was none too happy to see me.
