Some people hate that movie.
I like it. I think people just need to lighten up on it. Different time...Different place.
It was made in 1946 and released 7 January 1947. I imagine the country was in the mood for a movie like that given what we had just been through.
It’s a film in the “uncanny valley”, i.e. the characters look close to being human but not exactly so it creeps some people out.
