Ok, [/s] noted, but … the lesbian-trans divide is real and a breath of rationality in this increasingly crazy arena. I don’t know that gay men have made much objection, and the issue doesn’t really impact them since it’s hard to think of an area in which a woman pretending to be a man is going to gain an inherent advantage by the imposture. Men pretending to be women, however, are a real issue, and probably not just in women’s sports. The smarter lesbians understand that the trans agenda essentially abolishes the concept of womanhood.

I really do not see her problem or concern. Was this not settled back in the 70’s with the Billie Jean King versus Bobby Riggs match? I thought it was settled that women could beat men, that it was not big deal? Well, let’s see how it works out now.

This is but just one of the things with which the “trans” agenda is generating push back from “gays”. The other area is where the “trans” agenda is starting to say that “gender” (they mean sex) is ONLY a social construct, but “gays” have been arguing for some time now that “nurture” (social construct, internally or externally derived) has nothing to do with being “gay” that it is already there at birth. That makes the “trans” argument mean that being “gay” is a choice, which is not the argument that the “gay” agenda wants to here.
What was at stake wasn't that a woman could beat a man, but that a man could beat a woman young enough to be his daughter.
Turns out he couldn't (though he did beat Margaret Court, who was about Billy Jean's age).
It would have been nice if Billy Jean had continued the experiment by playing a man her own age, but she was smart enough not to.
