Painful. I’ve never lost anywhere near that amount. At my age, that would be catastrophic, if I did. Of course, it’s not a real loss unless you sell.
I used to tell my financial clients - never invest more than you are willing to lose, and I follow that plan myself.
Once a market reached a new high, I start taking a few chips off the table here and there-gives up some upside, but lets me sleep better. LOL
Im recently retired & just recently found out I am paying cash for a new home (long underwriters story as I retired early), so this hurts. Still have enough left to pay for it all, but this really cuts into whats left.
