I totally agree with what you posted. Mattis didn’t really slow move the trannycrap, it was done in such a way to avoid lawsuits and freakouts, imho.

Sorry, I am not really on board with the bash Mattis crowd. It seems to me that he acquitted himself well with respect to military engagements-I felt that he was respectful to everyone.

Totally agree. And when he had policy differences with the CiC, he did the right thing: resigned, with class.
THAT is the way it's done, instead of the usual Swamp method, backbiting and sneering and sabotaging.
Rumors are, he's thinking of running for President. Politically, he's more in line with GOP moderates, so it would be very hard for him to win the nomination of either party. Probably beltway BS.
Being raised near the Hanford Reservation makes me prejudiced about Mattis.
