I accidentally messed up my wife’s iPhone. I made a short video of her and a friend, then put it in my pocket without turning it off.

Now her email is not there. It’s an hername@gmail address.

I click on the mail icon and it says “Welcome to Mail”

Then below that, there is a list:

iCloud
Exchange
Google
YAHOO
Aol.
Outlook.com
Other

I can send test emails from my Mac to her tablet, which has the same email address as her phone.

On her apps, there is an icon with a large M that says Gmail under it. It works, but the address is hername9@gmail, so she doesn’t use it.

Do you have her phone backed up either on your computer or iCloud? I think if you accidentally trashed her Mail settings, gmail will have all of her mail. Good luck.

Sounds as if you need to renter your email account information. When you do everything should come back including historic emails you’ve kept. Check also to assure your AppleID is correct in settings and Mail is activated. I hope this helps.

Found the problem in Settings. Her email got turned off.
