A couple of weeks ago, within a week, I experienced 3 acts of gallantry I hadn’t seen in a long time. But now I can remember only two of them. One was a 19-year-old who offered me his hand to help me step over some rocks. The other was a man about my age (late 60s-early 70s) who has ALS. It was at a neighborhood Xmas party. Any time a woman came to sit down at the table or got up to leave, this gentleman would stand (and it was a bit of a struggle for him).
My mechanic (the repair shop owner) personally fixed my car and....No Charge!!
I was stunned. I had worried all weekend if I had enough to pay him.
Made my day.
I’ve been fortunate also....I couldn’t reach the top shelf at the grocery store and this chap stepped right up to the plate to help......he was so pleased to be able to help too. These things always bring a Man pleasure when they are appreciated.
I love it!
