Hilarious and impossible to imagine now.
Of course MacDonald got fired from the show.
I haven’t seen anything from him in ages.
Thanks for posting.
Oh, my! What a great post, ifinnegan.
SNL called Hillary a liar, a dirty liar! And it’s funny, too. It’s hard to remember, but I guess there was a time when SNL at least pretended to be balanced.
If this clip gets enough new play now, I predict that:
1. YouTube will remove this video, because it’s “hateful”.
2. Norm McDonald will have an “accident”.
How long does it take for someone to smell like that if they never shower or bathe?
MacDonald was booted from SNL because he was too hard on OJ Simpson. One of the muckety mucks was a good friend of OJ, so MacDonald was ousted.
How soon the people forget!
Norm is fantastic. Within the last 3 or 4 years I’ve been looking at all his stuff on youtube. He won’t admit it, but he seems to be very conservative. Look at his stuff...very cool.

Sorry....3 or 4 months, not years..
Germans love David Hasselhoff.... but they hate Hillary!
three days, week tops?
That was back in the day when SNL was funny and watchable.
Good one.

Great video.
Thanks.
Norm had one of my all-time favorite Late Night appearances. You think he’s bombing but stick with it all the way to the end segment with Courtney Thorne-Smith. It keeps building and building upon itself until even Conan can’t keep it together.

Hilarious and amazing.
After OJ was acquitted: “Well it’s official.Murder is legal in California.”
Wikipedia: “In early 1998, Don Ohlmeyer, president of NBC’s West Coast division, had Macdonald removed as “Weekend Update” anchor, citing declining ratings and a drop-off in quality. Macdonald and others believed that the real reason for his dismissal was his series of jokes calling O. J. Simpson a murderer during and after the trial; Ohlmeyer was good friends with Simpson and supported him during the proceedings. After being removed from the role, Macdonald went on CBS’s Late Show with David Letterman and Howard Stern’s syndicated radio show accusing Ohlmeyer of firing him for making jokes about Simpson.
“The jokes were written primarily by Macdonald and longtime SNL writer Jim Downey, who was fired from SNL outright at the same time. Downey pointed out in an interview that Ohlmeyer threw a party for the jurors who acquitted Simpson”
