I have had a few beards, goatees, etc. and I admire men who carry them off in a manly fashion I personally don't care for them on my face.

They itch, they scratch, they harbor food other particles...just not my cup of tea.

This was a three months after my dad had died...I had been clean shaven for the funeral, but kind of just Let it go. I suspected it was the last time I might grow a beard, it made me a little crazy fidgeting with it, so I shaved it off in phases and and some fun with it:

It was kind of goofy fun, but I decided that was it for me. LOL, now I have zero hair on top...or the sides!

Whoa, you look way better without the beard. You are very handsome (without the beard).

I have done a neatly trimmed goatee (the kind with a mustache) for decades. Because I have had a bunch of eye surgeries, I feel that the facial hair distracts a bit from the fact that my eyes look a tad off. The only problem I have with it is that I have to color it. My facial hair is much grayer than the hair on my head, so I dye the goatee.
