Masterpieces also.
LOL. Loved Belushi’s Beethoven skit.
Maybe not Beethoven’s greatest composition but definitely his best live stage performance here:

immersed
***memo to self: auto spell ON
During one of Beethovens last concerts, he stood up and spoke to the audience:
Beethoven: “Are you pumped, yet?”
Audience: “YEAH!!!!!!”
Beethoven; “I can’t hear you!”
Cello player Timothy Eddy is outstanding, he had me intoxicated by the 3rd selection.
Sounds like Beethoven had a sense of humor in some of his compositions,
I enjoyed this performance a lot. Thanks for sharing it.
“Invigorating, enlivening, enriching performance.”
The perfect performance of the perfect piece.
To have seen that in Vienna would be the experience of a lifetime.
Opus 131. String Quartet number 14 in C# minor. Instead of starting with a typical allegro-sonata movement, he does a slow tempo fugue. Just amazing.

The master of might and majesty.
He also don’t hear the audience shout FREE BIRD!
My favorite composition from Beethoven is the banana song.
BTW, what does he look like at 248, and where does he live? I wanna live to 248 too. But, I’d get tired of so many birthday cakes. Just bring me pies, any kind.
In the finale, he drop-kicks the theme off the cliff, and you lean forward, expecting to hear a splat as it hits the ground. Then he sprints to the finish line.
Listening to Barenboim playing the 101 right now, and you know, you have a point... Wow.
Ludwig Van is the man. I think I’ll listen to all of the Immortal Nine Symphonies today.
