This is not about politicized rules of engagement. He brought in a suspected bomb maker after two soldiers were killed by a IED. After questioning the Army decided they didn’t have anything to hold him and had Major Golsteyn take him home. Golsteyn is accused of taking him home, killing him, and disposing of the body.

How did that fact become known? Once the brass found that it was true they had no choice but to go ahead with charges.

It should never, never have become established as true.

Since when is a battle field enemy treated like an American Citizen criminal?

In WWII the GOOD war, enemies like this one were regularly taken out back and shot.

My dad said that when his company traveled up the boot of Italy, that they were told to take no prisoners.
