The process got us to this point. If I were Trump I’d give him a medal.

The bomb maker had killed several guys in his unit, he said during his interview with Greg Jarrett of Fox News. Jarrett, a trained lawyer, then asked if he killed the bomb maker, Mathew replied, “Yes”.

He was immediately charged with murder and can face the death penalty - the guy he killed was not on the “approved-to-be-killed” list. Obama ROEs.

But President Trump has complicated proceedings with his tweet..

I’ll bet. The top brass was hoping to quietly destroy this patriot and now President Trump has gone and shown a light on the case.

This is not about politicized rules of engagement. He brought in a suspected bomb maker after two soldiers were killed by a IED. After questioning the Army decided they didn’t have anything to hold him and had Major Golsteyn take him home. Golsteyn is accused of taking him home, killing him, and disposing of the body.

What is sad to me is the CIA. A bonified war hero applying for a job with what should be our foreign wet works organization, discusses what should have been a “seal the deal” moment, turns into an Orwellian nightmare.

If Trump were to eliminate the entire spiderweb of the CIA the night before Christmas, with no pensions, no medical or any other benefits, why I’d have a Coke - diet Coke. But he shouldn’t do that without the same for Justce and the FBII.

This will never go to trial. This guy has so much shit on so many other special operators, including the CIA, they will quietly drop the case. The discovery he’s entitled to would expose a lot of dirty secrets with the CIA. If the government refuses to turn over the documents based on national security, the government will be forced to drop the charges.

IIRC the Major's court martial either hasn't started yet or is still in progress. If either is correct this announcement can be seen as "undue command influence"...if I'm not mistaken.DJT's best course is,I believe,to let military justice proceed to a conclusion and if there's a conviction he can consider a pardon.

Not that I'm an expert in such matters...but I still have an opinion.
