I guess you skipped over the part of being punished for declining the advances by being written off the show . . . I believe that is called blackballing. Why do you think the network settled for that amount?
She is now enrolled in College so it doesn’t seem like she is anything but a wronged woman. And given the Hollywood crowd, a relatively sane young woman.
I agree this stuff is ridiculous.
However, this is the wrong chick to mess with. She has directed her own series and has been posturing herself as the film version of Gloria Allred. I have heard Weatherly has had these troubles before.
They didn’t settle up for the action. They settled up because the FIRED her for reporting it.
They could have instead taken it seriously, talked to the creep, and told him to fly right or HE would be fired.
You don’t fire people for reporting harassment. The story indicates that the tapes CBS provided showed evidence of the actual harrasment, so it doesn’t seem like it was in dispute at that point.
When you're a rape survivor from a popular movie from the 90s as a minor. Sheesh.
