No 3D printing?
Technology that actually makes things? That's so 20th Century.
3d printing is a bit of a dead end until they come up with a way to do it on an atomic level. :P
Maybe molecular. Let me know when you can print out a strand of DNA, place it in a cell and clone your own dinosaur.
But seriously, it doesn’t really count as a technology career sort of thing. Most of the ‘work’ is CAD oriented, and that’s been around a while.
As for the product, that depends on the machine. Your hobbyist machine is great for making little plastic geegaws, but then what? And sure, Alcoa can print a titanium turbine blade for your jet engine for $$$$$$$$.
Yeah.
Other than that, it’s mostly just a case of move print head to XYZ location, squirt out some (stuff), repeat. Not a lot of buzzwords to be had there.
