[Portable solar power for recharging small electronics]

We have one of those and used it when the electricity went out for three days after a summer storm. It was really hot outside and it came in handy to keep the freezer going. However, the charge only lasted for a couple of hours.

We had to go to the office to keep charging it up. Can’t imagine what a pickle we’d be in if there was no electricity at all in our town. LOL

I have a small boom box sized generator that the portable solar panel can charge. That generator will run a cpap machine for 8 hrs. I haven’t really tried the generator out on other stuff.

I also have a back up cpap battery pack that can be recharged using a regular plugin, car cig. lighter or 12V reg. battery.

So one to use while one is charging and something to use if sun isn’t shining.

I’d like to have an automatic back up generator that can be used with gas, as well as solar and wind, but I’m not sure that’s doable right now.
