I think what we’re learning here is that NBA players are huge fans of conspiracy theories.

Nearly two years after Kyrie Irving said the Earth is flat on a podcast with then-Cleveland Cavaliers teammates Richard Jefferson and Channing Frye, fellow All-Star point guard Stephen Curry informed us that man never landed on the moon during an appearance with Golden State Warriors teammate Andre Iguodala on a new podcast featuring Atlanta Hawks players Vince Carter and Kent Bazemore.

Curry even tipped his cap to Irving, suggesting, “They’re gonna come get us,” an ode to the social media firestorm that followed Irving’s revelation and ultimately resulted in an apology from the star.

As I’ve noted, NASA says that video from the moon was fed to a Deep Space module, where the huge recording machine with 1” tape was rolling. On batteries.

OH and by the way the article I took this from is about the "lost" tapes which you seem to make a big deal of. NASA doesn't consider them "lost"...and they have 1st generation copies of the very few that are in storage somewhere.

OK, I watched the first video and saw nothing out of the ordinary. A camera could have easily had a built in mechanical timer to start a sequence matching the expected moment of boost to then zoom out and pan up. Are you an engineer? Didn't think so.

Your explanation is much sounder then the whacky theories...but the camera was actually controlled remotely from earth. The following video shows the camera and outlines how it was done:

It is not far enough away, clearly. Sorry, but it will take more than some guy’s claims on youtube to convince me that what we’ve known for at least 2,500 years is wrong. Everything we can observe is easily explained by a round earth. No so with a flat earth. Occam’s razor. How do you explain why the sun is always about half a degree in angular diameter, if as the flat earthers say it is constantly moving towards and away from us again, from only a few thousand miles? How can it be night in Europe while daytime in the U.S.?

Research the Van Allen Belt. It will answer all 4 questions you posed.

1. The Empire Sate Building is in our earth’s atmosphere. AKA within the Van Allen Belt. 2. Planes flying at 35,000 feet are in our earth’s atmosphere. AKA within the Van Allen Belt. 3. Those satellites circling our planet are technically in our earth’s atmosphere. AKA within the Van Allen Belt.

Are you serious?? Neither the Empire State building or airplanes are anywhere NEAR the Van Allen belts. Some satellites might enter the region..not sure..I would think they would program the orbits to avoid it due to possible radiation damage.

4. The Moon is not in our atmosphere and well beyond the Van Allen Belt.

Well that's ONE thing you got right!

During the space race of the ‘60’s no other country (Russia and China) sent any living thing (plant or animal) outside of the Van Allen Belt that didn’t come back x-rayed to death. But, we did. Our government would never lie to us either.

Of course we did...because we spent billions and billions of dollars that the the other countries didn't have. The craft we sent out were shielded. The shielding is sufficient to stop nearly all radiation although there is slightly more exposure then a typical earther.

I read on a NASA website that in the most intense regions, the Van Allen belts deliver 1/4 rem per hour to a satellite that is protected by 1/8" plate aluminum. It takes about 100 rems exposure to make a person sick. So the radiation is not that intense. Easy to cross in a few hours.

But if you listen to the conspiracy theorists, it's like a microwave oven. Where are they getting their information if not from NASA?

Solar radiation is easily shielded against since it is charged. Cosmic rays not so easy. The only thing that blocks it is mass, and then only partially.

Lunar color scenes were scanned, field sequentially, and down-linked serially to the Manned Space Flight Network. Video was received and recorded from lunar distance at any of the three Deep Space Stations.

"Deep Space Stations" were fed either 2"or 1" video tape, because that was easiest and was the standard for editing... if this was in fact video tape in the Apollo 17 lift off.

Not sure what "tracking stations" they are talking about ... but for SURE there was NOT a 1.5 second relay to Earth that would allow zoom and tilt on the color video camera to watch that toy take off and go up -- Apollo 17 footage.

The computers that sent men to the moon you can now get onto a fly's balls. The radiation affects from long distances and also the radiation belts can kill a modern computer fastest than EMP. The shielding test I suspect are for the electronics but the one of the best shielding is plain water. I watched the moon landings live and do you think at the height of the cold war Russia was not monitoring every thing and would have not have accused the landings as false!!! The technology to fake them was just not available. The moon is nothing it has some resources but the economics to get them would be stupid.
