That name is pretty pretentious. Kid will have a tough time living up to it. But you know what? There is no reason to trash the kid or his mother. I’ve seen far more bizarre names than that. Moon Zappa comes to mind. Chastity Bono.

How about “the asshole once known as Prince?”

Any number of home made “Black” names that defy characterization.

At least she has picked three good English language names implying status, even nobility. And no doubt, her family is quick to trash her for them.

I would never saddle a kid with a moniker like that, but guess what, chumps: I’m with her.

The pretentious naming isn’t only reserved for those of a darker melanin persuasion. I see lot’s of Anglo-Saxons of a lower economic and education strata who come up with pretentious names (and then, to add insult, can’t even spell the name correctly). Most of the older “noble” names have definitely fallen by the wayside, along with pride in your ancestry.

How about “the asshole once known as Prince?”

And the rest of the story...

“Warner Bros took the name, trademarked it, and used it as the main marketing took to promote all of the music I wrote,” Prince once said in a press release. “The company owns the name Prince and all related music marketed under Prince. I became merely a pawn used to produce more money for Warner Bros.”

In 2000, after the contract expired, Prince went back to using his old name, which Kellogg says also freed him to innovate new ways of making money as an independent artist.
