A woman has gone viral online for allegedly canceling her baby shower because her family and friends were unsupportive of her choice of baby name: Squire Sebastian Senator.
Dear Members of the Squire Sebastian Senator Babyshower (sic), a post on Facebook and shared on Reddit reads. I have a really important announcement to make. It brings me pain to have to tell you this, but I am cancelling the event.
The unidentified woman goes on to explain her decision, stating her friends have been spreading rumors and lies.
Yall have been talking s--- about my unborn baby. AN UNBORN CHILD. How can you judge an unborn child?? the social media post continues.
The mother shares that she was not crazy, or mentally unstable or drunk when she chose the unique three name moniker, which she emphatically points out is only his first name.
He will not be allowed to have a nickname, he is to be called by his full and complete first name, she writes.
The woman defended her choice, claiming her family is descended from a long line of both squires and senators.
If you look back in our family tree, the survival of this clan is literally rooted in squiredom. We are all related to senators too, she writes. This name conveys power. It conveys wealth. It conveys success.
My babys name WILL be a revolution, she continued.
The woman concludes her lengthy Facebook rant calling her family fake

Her first name is Attention Whore. No abbreviation allowed.
her parenting skills didn’t extend beyond the orgasm.
Come again?
That is hilarious every time I watch it and and the beginning of football games when they announce the players.
again? I think the first one was one to many. that kid is f*cked for life.

In 20 years the news story about his birthday party will end, "and then he turned the gun on himself."
I take it dad is not in the picture. Kid doesn’t stand a chance unless it meets Jesus at a very young age.
The pretentious naming isn’t only reserved for those of a darker melanin persuasion. I see lot’s of Anglo-Saxons of a lower economic and education strata who come up with pretentious names (and then, to add insult, can’t even spell the name correctly). Most of the older “noble” names have definitely fallen by the wayside, along with pride in your ancestry.
notice how the mom turns criticism of her choice into criticism of the child.
Unfortunately no pics.
Dumb names I guess but social media is very mob-like.
I might think T’nailia Vestavia-Vulcan-Greensprings has a nice ring to it.
But it’s not a good name.
That might not be a good idea. Although the Duke of Earl boasted that nothing could stop him, he was eventually stopped--by a girl! The Duke was soon conquered by the Duchess of Earl who made him walk on with her.
If you were an activist in the 1976 presidential campaign for Reagan, as I was--or, for that matter, Ford, Carter, Brown, Humphrey, etc.--this tune should bring back some memories.
A Boy Named Hugh--Gene Price (1976)
What lunatic.
I wouldn’t want to go to that shower.
But that’ll teach them to not mock her choice of a baby name.
She’ll cancel the shower on them and now they won’t have to buy gifts and waste heir time with the crackpot.
I was thinking it was first-middle-last names, and was going to say that as names go, it’s not nearly as off-the-wall as it might be.
But, upon reading farther into the excerpt I see that is only his “first” name(s), and I realize that it’s the mother who is off-the-wall. The poor kid.
Who????
He'd have been better off.
And he could also fake people out and spell it Sioux, and then it would be cool.
