I have been using Brave with no issues but the scrolling problem.
Yesterday Brave updated.
Now I cannot change the homepage, it is one of theirs, I was able to change goog to duck duck go, but it now lists and autofills when I search and I cannot turn that off
There doesn't seem to be a place to do these simple things anymore.
Although the scrolling problem went away.
I don’t see a roll back option
Yes I have but the options have changed.
Glad I am not the only one.
Brave (Old) is listed as a program on my computer but it boots the new edition.
see that is not what they have been about.
Odd
We are together on this.
I clicked thinking it was minor.
not minor.
I have never updated IE. I should have taken that stance with Brave. But I wanted the scrolling issue fixed, which they did fix, but they changed some much else.
Rebooted at least four times.
I find no ads, in settings there is a no ads setting
I am using the esteemed Win7.
I see the old version up there but I cannot get it to boot.
Could be that in a few days Brave will release an "Oops" update.
Have you tried to contact Brave about this? Do they have a user forum you can contact?
Above the URL you want for Homepage is a toggle to turn that feature on, otherwise it will continue to default
Is this desktop version?
What is the version?
I did a fair amount of reading today through their issues lists, etc. You can still launch the old one (for now, I imagine), but you’ll need to find the old exe to do so.
They have a lot of folks saying “oh chromium, great, make all of this stuff optional”.
They also broke “https everywhere” and a host of other little things. And whoever Mattche is in their blog/forum/thing needs to go.
Yes. Desktop
No toggle there
are you using a handheld?
I thought I was the only one having issues with the update. Of course it happens during my work week, and I have no time to look into it.
Bookmarking.
Yes but, just arrived home and was going to look at on my laptop
The Brave Menu (3 horizontal bar icon) has a “Settings” selection. The home button must be enabled to change the home web page. At the bottom of the settings page is an “Advanced” button for more things like setting the download directory.
well it only goes home when I press the home icon when I open a new tab I get the Brave homepage picture and information i could care less about including frequently used icons which I certainly do not want
