I know people will come to his defense but let’s look at the facts. Gowdy talks a good talk but have we actually seen any justice? Benghazi, Clinton, Lynch, Obama and his cronies
Legal analyst and former federal prosecutor Joe diGenova called out Representatives Trey Gowdy and Bob Goodlatte.
Mary Walter talked to diGenova about the effectiveness of Gowdy and Goodlatte and if what they are doing now at the last minute will produce any results.
DiGenova didn’t hold back in slamming both representatives.
“This is an embarrassment by Gowdy and Goodlatte, to stand up and pound their chest on television claiming they’re going to get to the bottom of this. Both of them, both of them are an embarrassment to the concept of oversight.”
“To issue a subpoena at this 11th hour? It’s 11:59 by the way [a lame duck Congress], it’s not just the 11th hour,” he said. “I mean, this is an embarrassment to all Republicans who believe in legitimate oversight.”
“Trey Gowdy punted on Benghazi, took a dive,” said deGenova. “Goodlatte, all of a sudden he’s Mister Tough Guy. He’s Harvey Milquetoast, for heaven’s sake.”
“These people have done severe damage to the concept of oversight, and I can assure that when [Democrats] Elijah Cummings and Jerry Nadler take over, they won’t be as stupid as Goodlatte and Gowdy have been,” said diGenova. “I mean, this is as bad as it gets for Republicans.”
I studiously avoid the media B.S. I’m a founding member of the cynic clinic, but after a while we begin to look like gullible morons for clinging to the hope someone in politics will do the right thing.

Having said that, I gon’t have respect for the GOP leaders either. They don’t support the president or his agenda. They are the swamp as much as the rest of them. I have unfounded high hopes that when the documents get declassified that a large majority of the elected officials from both sides, the leadership of the DOJ, FBI, NSA, CIA, State Department and the Obama administration will have been shown to have committed crimes.

I don’t care what side of the Uniparty, the dept/agency/etc., the level of govt, they *ALL* commit crime(s) on a daily basis.
Be it any bill/’law’ in violation of the Constitution or be it ‘playing politics’ by aiding/abetting/conspiring of law-breaking (EG: never impeaching a judge for violating their oath\legislating from the bench).
Each pats/scratches another’s back, while they rake in the never ending “pension” from the Treasury. Doesn’t matter how much ‘light’ one shines, it never is enough (of which, it’s one of the few *BIG* let downs of Trump [which I’ll be happy to revise...IF and WHEN it ever happens])

Don’t underestimate President Trump. He is a master strategist and several steps ahead of both adversaries and friends. Feigning weakness, Trump has had the upper hand from the beginning and has been the one driving events. To what end, we will soon see.
I do think POTUS is doing a great job. I am losing faith in the executive branch. At times he seems a General without beltway army. I wish it was different but it is what it is.
Thank you much for explaining that! Sometimes I guess we need to be reminded of things we once learned, but have forgotten. I don’t think some people on here are listening, though. Yesterday’s conservative darling is todays whipping post, I’m afraid! Look what happened to Ted Cruz during the primaries, for an example, many conservatives turned on him with a fury!

What happened to Thursday? Heck, for 3 weeks you've been saying this would be bombhell week, where are they? That the military was involved.
Mueller got hit with the 302 document demand from Judge Sullivan. That is what is was. Keep your eye on it. I am not going to tell everything I know. Ignore the media BS on this story and just watch. The game is going to get interesting.
Well, it would have been better if he asked for the actual 302’s. He didn’t. Just the 302 of a summary meeting about the thing. Original 302’s are still tbd. Hopefully he will request them next week.

As I understand it the judge DID ask for the original 302, but they did not comply
Instead they handed him a 6 month later recollection surrogate ......not the real deal
The ball is in the judge’s court!
