I get tired of his braggadocio and I think I ultimately hurts his cause

People act like Trump is the first guy to ever make self congrulatory statements. Remember Clinton bragging about how he fixed the "worst economy in 50 years", over and over and over? Or how Obama declared that his election was "the moment that the oceans stopped rising and the planet began to heal"?

I do.

Yeah but it’s over and over and over and over again over again.

All politicians are the biggest braggarts and self aggrandizers out there. They do it to themselves and others.

Way worse than Trump.

I was hearing the Bush eulogies.

Bush is the greatest human being of all time. Kindest, wisest, etc...

Obama. Obama did everything. Anything and everything. I. I. I.

These politicians just say ut different, with a fake solemnity and tone of voice.

Exactly. Politicians, as a group, are way, way overrepresented by arrogant narcissistic people whose need to be recognized is generally light years beyond their talents.

That President Trump has not achieved some of his campaign promises does not mean he has broken those promises. He has been stymied by the implacable opposition of the Democrats and GOP obstructionists. I have not heard him say he has abandoned his campaign-stated goals.

Yeah but Clinton never had the ability to mainline his thoughts into the body politic via Twitter. It’s too much. My opinion.
