Bristol, England picked a winner with this new mayor. Race hustling hack. Now there is a generic picture of a lion and someone from across the pond with no link to Bristol. How about a portrait of Edmund Burke who was a MP for Bristol?

I don’t see the problem with removing the painting by a half black mayor. However the media-show aspect over doing this gives me reason for pause. There should be some reverence for the past. And furthermore the ability to be able to look at history from a contemporary view. Not to look at something from 1750 through the values of today.

So much of this sort of thing is just because the person knows they will be on TV and make headlines. So much of it is display and the greed to be an instant ‘celebrity’. The media is at fault for this. She knew she’d get her face on the cameras.
