Just thought it funny that Osteen's channel is listed in the first position at the top of all the religious stations but he's listed as 'Entertainment' while all the other pastor's etc. are listed as 'Religious'.
Makes sense to me due to its obvious fact.

What then saves? Is it not the grace of God through faith in the work of the cross?
Joel Osteen may not be everyone’s cup of tea, but I'm thinking he has reached more folks that most with a message of God's love, unmerited favor, grace, mercy.

As the word says, Faith is what saves. Faith is the obedience to his commandments, his perfect law of liberty.
Grace is simply Yehova allowing our confessions of our failure to perfectly obey to be sufficient. (as perfectly described in 1John)
Osteen reaches the greedy with a promise of wealth. Where do you find that in scripture?
I understand your concern and I too share this concern to a degree. Prosperity of those who love God is all through the bible. God prospered those who loved Him...and not just the perfect folks. One thing I'd like to make clear...I am not an apologist for Joel Osteen. That said, do I believe Joel Osteen is a child of God...yes, I do. Warts and all.
Secondly, the majority of Joel Osteen’s congregates are just working people, broken folks. Joel Osteen has led thousands to a relationship with the Lord. A baby step if you will. It is the milk, not the meat.
I do not know you, nor am I familiar with your theological background. You mentioned, “Faith is what saves”.
Yes, it is faith, but who provides the faith that you have? Is it not God who provides the measure of faith? It is up to us to accept it...right?
What saves a person? What is the requirement for salvation? What is it that happens at the moment of salvation? What does salvation truly mean?
Sozo (Greek)-to save, deliver or protect, heal, preserve, do well, make whole. Jesus provides safety, wholeness, healing, preservation at the moment of salvation. Not simply a get out of hell free card.
Hamartia (Greek)- referred to I believe 47 of 49 times in the book of Romans to describe sin...it is a noun..not a verb. In other words, describing who you ARE...not what you DO.
The finished work of the cross was to transform what was lost in the garden. Adam was righteous before God, then the fall. From that point forward, Adam's nature was sinful. Jesus came to restore what was lost, changing our sin nature back to a righteous nature.
The perfect law of liberty you mentioned...is not the law as we know it given through Moses. The Perfect law of Liberty is speaking of Jesus. We..through faith in the perfect one, who kept the law perfectly are made righteous before God.
God does not require perfection in us. Are we to live a holy, set apart from the world?...yes, but will we sin throughout our lives...yes. So, if we sin, does God turn His back on those in Christ? According to scripture..no.
One last point I'd like to make. Sin was dealt with on the cross. When Jesus said, “It is finished”, He was declaring the war (emnity) between man and God...is over. Jesus paid for sin once, for all, forever.
The only sin that will send a man to hell...is not accepting the atoning sacrifice of Jesus, the son of God. Paul dealt with the questions regarding this thousands of years ago. We still deal with those same questions today.
Denying Jesus took on the full wrath and punishment for sin on that cross is to make light of the sacrifice Jesus made for us.

The only way we can “accept” Yeshua’s sacrifice is as John clearly stated in his first epistle:
We must live as he lived, in full compliance with the renewed covenant. That is believing in him. Anything less is rejection of Yeshua.

Denial of Yeshua’s way is Satan.
Romans10:9-10 - If you confess that Jesus is Lord and believe that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.
Romans1:13 - everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.
1John5:1 - Whoever believes that Jesus is the Christ is born of God.
John3:15 - Whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
John3:16 - Whoever believes in Him is not condemned...
Hebrews7:25 - Therefore He is able to save completely those who come to God through Him, because He always lives to intercede for them.

Philippians3:9 - ...and be found in Him, not having a righteousness of my own that comes from the law, but that which is through faith in Christ...
Do not be entangled again with the yoke of bondage. Meaning, religion from man puts folks back under the law in which we were freed.
It's not about our performance. God begins sanctifying each and every person right where they are. Your journey is different than your neighbors journey.

Please inform me what you’re talking about. I’ve never heard Osteen preach anything other than the Goodness of God, God’s love, God’s mercy, God’s healing, God’s provision, God’s grace.

John was very specific as to what “belief” is:
To live exactly as he lived. (Fully in covenant.)
Until you can grasp the difference, you are adrift in confusion.
