Do conservatives have more fun? Should liberals start describing themselves as humor-challenged?..

Another possible explanation is that conservatives, or at least the ones in Boston, really aren’t the stiffs they’re made out to be by social scientists. When these scientists analyze conservatives, they can sound like Victorians describing headhunters in Borneo. They try to be objective, but it’s an alien culture...

True, in contrast to claiming victim status and being owed benefits otherwise eared by merit. But that is not the psychological disposition that liberals would like for people to have, since they inculcate this in order to gain themselves and audience and power, as the devil did with Eve.

Today's universities are sadly largely the model for what the future would be under increasing liberal control. I do not approve of off color jokes, but for Christian moral reasons, not political correctness.

Maybe it just my dry Downeast sense of humor...but I found that quite humorous in and of itself...The possibilities of the punchline is unlimited....especially at the Bars I frequent.....
I don't like off color either but like you I an a follower of The Way. Some i deal with but a person can make a clean joke sans the nasty words. Do love the wit, and everything I posted. I just love to laugh. Used to do a humor group in state hospitals, acute and prisons.

Someone once posted here that he was at an Obama fundraiser with an open bar. Obama walked up to the bar and said to the bartender, “Make me a zombie.” The bartender said, “God beat me to it.”
That might have been Mr. Wright, who I thought several times was Steven Wright, but if so he wouldn’t admit it.
So what DID happen when McCain and Obama walked into that bar?

No sense of humor. No positive, upbeat look at life. No count your blessings. No look on the bright side of things. Nothing positive at all.
They're all offended haters, victims, sour personalities, woe-is-me, doom and gloom people who couldn't have a good time even if they brought the party to them.
Rub elbows with those "type" folks too much and it starts to have a negative effect on your own outlook after a while.
So from long experience trying to deal with liberals, I find it best just to avoid them completely and not have them to deal with in your life.
Problem solved.
