A student at Florida Atlantic University (FAU) was arrested after he posted a message on Twitter that threatened to kill his professor for scheduling an exam early in the morning.
FAU police arrested Rafael Decomas last week after receiving a tip about a Twitter post from Decomas, according to local news outlet WPTV.
His Twitter post stated i gern (expletive) kill dis professor bey this is my confession to a premeditated murder" in a direct tweet to another user appearing to be his girlfriend.
Decomas is a commuter student and was upset he would have to wake up at 5 a.m. to be able to get to campus by 7:00 a.m., according to police reports.
The 20-year-old student was charged with written threats to kill or do bodily injury,.
Decomas told police he did not intend to harm his professor or anyone else. He was released on bond from Palm Beach County Jail last week following the incident.

Any doubt which party this “go-getter” voted for in the mid-terms?
Not guilty unless that was the starting time for the class all year. Moron professor.
iPhone autocorrect got ‘premeditated’ correct.
I had a 7AM philosophy, required, course my senior year. It was the only time offered wherein I could attend due to other commitments like a job and taking enough courses to graduate on time. I occasionally made it to class, on my way home! I think the prof felt sorry for me as he passed me with a D. He probably passed me because he thought I was working till late when actually I was out partying in my off time.
Just another DinDo.
That’s the first thing I thought of, too.
Maybe the correctly spelled words were spellchecked by his tellyfone.
From Riveria Beach. If you know that area of Florida- this arrest-come to think of it, any arrest- should be no surprise.
meant premedicated
Back in the olden days when I was in college the regular start time of any given class was not always the time that the final exam was scheduled. This jerk is not ready to graduate into the real world anyway.
Not our best and brightest, hah?
‘Speelchek!’ ;)
These might be professional students but that is all. If there is a real hardship I am sure the prof would schedule an alternative time.
Wait until one of his (possible) future employers give him his work schedule.
I used to compete in a sport called endurance-—done on horseback on marked trails.
I have ridden a number of 100 miles rides.
Up at 3 AM, in the saddle by 4 AM, warming up the horses. Start at 4:30 AM in the dark, and have until 4:30 AM the next day to cross the finish line. 2—sometimes 3— 1 hour holds during that 24 hours, which really only gives you 21 hours of riding to actually ride 100 miles.
And-—we didn’t earn a single penny for doing those rides. Only the experience & the satisfaction of finishing. Usually a t-shirt was the finishing ward. Sometimes a SWEATSHIRT!!!
I don’t have any sympathy for this snowflake & his 7 AM test. He is apparently STEALING a seat at that college from someone who would use it more wisely. Kick his threatening as out completely.
Not by a long sight.
They like starting these marathons at 6 am for obvious reasons. She claims running cured her asthma. At least with the horses, your equine friends are doing most of the work.
Ah, the good old pre-snowflake days. I miss ‘em, too...
Rafael Decomas... stated i gern (expletive) kill dis professor bey this is my confession to a premeditated murder" in a direct tweet
I would say Affirmative Action.
