Being practically unknown is not uncommon for many vets due to the effects war has on the very young. Then this fellows wife passed in 1984. I hope he is at peace now.
I could see this type of thing very easily happening to me in 20 years were my wife and kids to pass.
I’ve always been a bit of a home body and since I live a long way from where I grew up, outside of work I don’t really have much interaction outside FR.
