But what if he’s GOT to talk down the Saudis, even though nothing is going to happen to them, just to GET the job on the judiciary in order to fulfill his mission, his part of the plan?

That's certainly a possibility, but voting to cut off US support for Saudi in their war against Iran's proxy, Yemen, is going further than just "talking down".

BTW, does a Senate vote have any juice when it comes to who the President/Military support in something like that. Financially or otherwise?
