I really don’t see that, Windy. It’s warmer now than it was in the 1700s and cooler than it was during the Medieval warming period. Rather moderate for an inter-glacial period.

Since inter-glacial periods have averaged 10k-15k years and this one started approx. 11k-12k years ago we’re definitely approaching the zero hour for the next glacial period though.

Time to catch up. Real climatologists have been predicting the imminent onset of a Maunder-type solar minimum for quite some time now.

The internet is chock-full of articles and videos on the subject. There are also dozens of scholarly books available on the topic. Begin perusing some of this stuff and you'll quickly discover how solid the science behind it is.

You haven't heard much about this, because it flies in the face of the global warming myth. That's rapidly changing, though, due to the fact that millions of people are suddenly seeking answers for the recent drop in temperatures they're seeing right outside their own windows.

A good place to start would be with videos of John Casey, an eminent climate researcher/scientist who's written some of the definitive books on the subject:
