The resistance is the result of the Democrats’ fear of President Trump.
They fear that the people will realize we don’t need political parties to elect a president.
They fear that more people’s eyes will open when President Trump does in two years what the politicians collectively didn’t do in twenty years.
At this point someone in the discussion suggested that perhaps the reason they resist President Trump is that he is incompetent and unfit.
This is when I realized it was not the notion of President Trump’s incompetence that caused them to resist. President Trump has demonstrated competence in achieving his goals, it is his goals they resist, not his competence.
Only unfit remained. Do they resist because of their notion of President Trump’s unfitness?
The revelation for me was that it is not President Trump’s unfitness they fear. It is their fear of President Trump’s fitness that causes them to resist.
President Trump is more fit to be president than any recent president.

A lot of people can’t tell the difference between qualifications and accomplishments.

And then there are the vast number of people who support Michelle Obama for President - a woman who possesses neither.
They seem to like empty suits and dresses
