How strange that putting a baby or child on it’s stomach across one’s lap (or hanging upside down) and striking the back should be mislabeled the “Heimlich” by a major news outlet. Heimlich is a jarring procedure and can, if done right, even break ribs. Anyway, kudos to all!

there are different methods for the Adult Heimlich Maneuver and the Child or Infant Heimlich Maneuver. You mistake the adult version as the only version. Just so you and the rest of the ignorant people may be cured of this ignorance, I have included a link to video made by a CHOC Children a healthcare facility for children, children's hospital for the layperson, who calls the maneuver for children.
