They look like they could be a good thing in a number of ways.   For example, for those riders who are peddling, it helps them a little to burn off their beer bellies, and it seems like the peddling may also help them to sober up a bit, before switching to other vehicles.   (Just keep the beer away from the main driver of the beer wagon!)
