Black Friday is for proles.
I’m an outlier as far as shopping is concerned. I finish my shopping and my winter purchases BEFORE Thanksgiving week. Why would I want merchandise that’s been mauled over, returned and resold, maybe even used and worn? I’d rather pay a few extra dollars and get exactly what I want.
Were they assault knives?
I don’t buy anyone anything for Christmas and that solves the problem of shopping.
Christmas is God’s birthday not a shopping fest.

Paging Schumer, Gillibrand and Cuomo: Infrastructure is the freaking LEAST of that city’s problems.
I didn’t even know Macy’s was still in business.
They're doing surprisingly well, in that their stock market price has risen this year.
But, when you go into one of the stores, it is amazing--there's lots of stuff, relatively few customers, relatively few salespeople (not as bad as Sears, of course).
But, the amazing thing about Macy's is that you never know what anything costs until the last seconds of a purchase. There's daily internet "sales," and unadvertised "register discounts." I find that quite off-putting.
what sparked the bloody confrontation.
STUPIDITY a lot of that going around now days.
